{"id":46233,"date":"2022-02-08T10:23:36","date_gmt":"2022-02-08T10:23:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/?p=46233"},"modified":"2022-02-08T10:23:38","modified_gmt":"2022-02-08T10:23:38","slug":"trying-to-overcome-your-fear","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nieuw.marnix.nl\/homepage\/welkom\/2022\/02\/08\/trying-to-overcome-your-fear\/","title":{"rendered":"Trying to overcome your fear."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I hear this all the time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI want to overcome my fear.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Me too, for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fear was holding me back, I thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My lack of confidence was sucking the life out of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And what I wanted, more than anything else, was to get rid of it forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So I get it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I get the why and I get the desire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But it\u2019s the wrong way to go about this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s just too much honor for a bunch of habits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are all deeply conditioned, so we respond in conditioned ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That means emotions and feelings will wash over you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes you feel anxious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes you feel furious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes you feel lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes you feel elated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You see the constant there?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And you know what that means?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You only, deeply have to realize, that everything is always<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">sometimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s nothing to really overcome because overcoming is the nature of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s called time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And time means change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And there\u2019s not a thing you have to do about that, because it does itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eventually whatever it is you want to get rid of because you hate or fear it so much simply loses its power, which means you overcome your resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Life will still feel scary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will still feel lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But you will be okay anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Almost always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Photo by @franku84, for Unsplash)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I hear this all the time. \u201cI want to overcome my fear.\u201d Sure.
